Over 500 windows must be repaired or replaced by a construction company in Alžbětiny Lázně in Karlovy Vary. The city's only spa had been waiting for this job for a hundred years.
For over a hundred years, the Alžbětiny Spa in Karlovy Vary has been waiting for its windows to be repaired. The only thing that was done during the existence of the historical building was their painting. But they rather damaged the windows, some of them could not be closed because of it.
The construction company must either repair or replace a total of 505 windows. "We've been waiting for over a hundred years. They were never repaired, they were painted, but that rather hurt them. We have been waiting for this exchange since 2019," confirmed the chairman of the company's board of directors, Václav Benedikt.
The spa will pay 28 million crowns for the work, eight million of which is a subsidy. It should be finished at the end of this year. The operation of the only city spa is not interrupted. But visitors and employees must be patient.
