How the shock wave proceeds
The shock wave can only be applied on a doctor's recommendation. If you don't have one, you can arrange a short consultation with the spa doctor of Alžbětina Lázně. During the therapy itself, the physiotherapist will first ask you to expose the relevant part of the body where the shock wave will be applied (for example, the foot and lower leg in the case of application to the heel). The procedure itself takes a few minutes, after applying the gel, it is performed according to the doctor's schedule and the given diagnosis. After finishing, the physiotherapist wipes off the remains of the gel and applies the cryo bag (about half a minute to a minute). On the day of application, it is not recommended to put more weight on the treated part of the body and it is advisable to drink more fluids.
Duration of the procedure: According to the doctor's prescription
Shock wave is a procedure sold only on the recommendation of a doctor.
